goals for 2021

2021 is going to be a big year. Personally, there will be big life changes, many defining moments, and I’m sure a few “oopsies” incidents as well. That being said, I want to dedicate this year to committing to achieving solid goals I have set out for myself. Here’s a few of my goals and I hope this inspires you to set a few of your own!

Goal #1: Graduate college!

How crazy is it that literally in THIS YEAR I’m going to be graduating college? I’m getting to graduate a semester early and it’s absolutely wild to me that I’ll have to start thinking about next steps, whether that’s grad school, a new job or whatever new adventure comes my way!

Goal #2: Earn another 4.0

I’ve never been fantastic at school. I’m really good at the practical work that I do and execution of the work I put forward, but tests and quizzes and things like that have never been my strong suit. Hence one of the reasons I’m really excited to be out and doing “real work.” Spring 2020, I earned a 4.0 taking 19 credit hours during a pandemic, without utilizing pass/no pass, and that’s something I’m really proud of. As I near graduation with only two semesters left, I’d love to earn another 4.0.

Goal #3: Make healthier choices

I don’t want to confine myself by saying “I’m going to work out more!” or “I’m going to eat less sugar!”, but I want to make a habit of making the healthier choice. This could be in terms of fitness, food or otherwise, but hopefully will help me feel healthier. Mini goals: go to a spin class,

Goal #4: Consistently use my planners

Anybody who knows me knows that I LOVE my planners. A bad habit that I get into though is not actually intentionally checking them throughout the day or before bed, which I then end up forgetting an assignment, or maybe even an important deadline. With my semester being totally virtual with a lot of extracurricular and career-related activities on my plate, I want to keep myself more accountable to the systems I put in place to keep my time sacred and my todos manageable.

Goal #5: Read 21 books for 2021

I don’t foresee this being a really hard goal to achieve considering I absolutely love to read, but my goal is to read and review 21 books for 2021! I’m hoping to make that a series on the blog, so stay tuned!!
